Vocaloid Miku Cosplay

help any cosplay tips?
me and my friends are gonna cosplay at connecticon and im going as miku from vocaloid and i was wondering any tips what to do what not to do where to go anything to help please?
Considering your look first and thinking of a character that closely resembles you may not be an important factor but the rest of the cosplaying deal is mostly initiated by it. But since you’ve already decided that you’re going to cosplay as Miku, you can then consider on how you would pull off the look.
First off, think about your own sewing/constructing skills to make the costume and the availability of the materials needed. You can ask for help from any reliable person or you can utilize cheap fabrics and stuffs in nearby stores.
Also, if you want to have a different character interpretation, it’s appreciated. But, larger audience might prefer a more resembling character so you have to use your time, budget and resources well, in cosplaying.
Make-up, wig or any other props would come after your costume. If you’re confident with your ability (or your friend’s), make-up is quite an easy matter. This is important especially if you want to achieve your character’s look as much as possible. Using colored contact lenses may even be considered.
Personally, wearing wig is more preferable than dying your hair not only because of the possible hair damage, but also when your hair isn’t near as that of your character’s. But, it depends on your preference and the advantages on your part.
Now that you’ve attained the desired look, you can flaunt your Miku-ness in the convention. Carrying a “quick-fix kit” (threads, needles, etc) is a must for any inevitable circumstances you might have. Preparing a skit or any creative presentation is also appreciated in introducing yourself to everyone.
Good luck, I hope these basic tips would help! ^___^

Miku Cosplay Wig

What are some easy closet cosplays?
There is this store where I live that has anime/cosplay events every month or so. I know that I’m going to be Misa from DN next time but after that I have NO IDEA who I’m going to be. I have been L Misa and Hatsune Miku. I want to have a costume that could easily bought in a store and perferably without a wig
(but if you need a wig please be a long green one since i have one already xD)
Thanks! ^-^
P.S. Sadly I do not know how to sew, so I would need to buy it from a store and preferably not online.
P.P.S. I have Black/Brown hair 1-2 inches below my shoulders, and side swept bangs that are pretty long (if i put them in front of my face they go to my chin >.<)
Thanks again!
~CosplayNoobieAnna~ <3
Thanks for the Ideas! <3
I may do Rukia but then i would need a big bow xD
Kagome from Inuyasha
Sango from Inuyasha
Kagura from Inuyasha
Karin Kurosaki from Bleach
Shizune from Naruto
Soi Fong from Bleach
From Naruto
Kurenai Yuuhi
Hinata Hyuga[ I would use the shippuden]
Tenten
Anko Mitarashi
Sakura[ u could use pink hair spray and then later wash it out]
Hope this helped you out. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Wig Vocaloid Miku

Miku Hatsune Cosplay?
http://www.hellocosplay.com/vocaloid-2-cosplay-hatsune-miku-costume-p-321.html
Should this site be trusted to give me a high quality Miku Hatsune Cosplay? I always prefer high quality clothes when I buy costumes like these, and I’m not quite sure about this one. I don’t know any other good sites. It’s $85.00 and I have to make sure it’s worth EVERY cent.
If there IS no good website, does anyone know what type of materials I can use to sew it? The shirt looks like silk but I’ve never sown silk on a costume before. And what I’m MOSTLY troubled with is the armwarmers. (You know, the little things that look like buttons.)
Also, does anyone know where to get a good quality and wig for this? I usually use Cosworx to buy my wigs and I prefer buying it there. Its also hard to put a wig up in pigtails so it’s kinda difficult on that to…
>o< Does anyone at least have cosplayer tips on this??
Thanks.
Honestly i hardly ever buy my cosplays online and if i do its commissioned from cosplay.com. The best way to go to get a good cosplay costume would be making one yourself or getting one commissioned for you. And honestly 85$ for a good quality cosplay isn’t that expensive. I wouldn’t order from that website though.
I buy all my wigs from either cosworkx.com or amphigory.com and i love them.
If you need help styling a wig i would look here.

Or try searching On youtube.
Anyway here are the links to the places i mentioned.

Hope i helped. =3
