I’ve had long, straight brown hair for ages and I want to get it cut in a different style. Any suggestions?
Pictures would be appreciated. I don’t want bangs/a fringe. I definitely want to keep my hair long and straight, should I get it layered? However, my hair’s pretty fine so layers would probaby make it look even thinner… And also, would a dark blonde/light brown hair colour look OK with brown eyes and light skin? Lol sorry about my fussiness.
You’re right, cutting layers into fine hair will make it look thinner on the bottom (unless you have a lot of hair).
Since you don’t want to cut the length, it really sounds like getting it cut for a different style is impossible, unless you want to get bangs.
Color would definitely be a fun way to make a change; go for lowlights as well as highlights.
Since I don’t know what shade brown hair you have, suffice to say you can have highlights in a lighter color (blonde), and lowlights in a darker color (dark brown), or even another color (red).
The more colors, the more interesting! Of course, it has to be complementary to your skin coloring. (The wrong color hair can bring out all the flaws in your complexion.)

So before you pick up your wallet and head down to your nearest department store or mall, you should reevaluate which colors will enhance your looks the most.
Just as there are four seasons in Mother Nature, there are four categories that match your skin tone, eye and hair coloring. Follow the guide below to determine which season would look amazing on you and should be sought out when purchasing new clothes.
You are a spring if your skin appears to be ivory or peach toned. Springs are normally redheads or natural blonds with light colored eyes. They tend to also have a warm or soft skin tone with gold like hues underneath.
People classified as springs should toss out clothes with stark colors like white and black from their closet. Harsh colors don’t compliment their fair skin tone. Instead springs should purchase a wardrobe full of warm colors such as camel, peach and light brown or beige. The colors you should stay away from are black and orange. Vivid hues are not flattering for your coloring and aren’t recommended.
Autumns have skin tones that are warm or pale peach. If you are a brunettes or redhead with hazel or light brown eyes, then you would most likely be categorized as an autumn.
