I have dark brown clip in extensions, 100% real hair. i was wondering…?
if i am able to dye them a light red color? and how would they turn out?
Sounds like a job for a professional Cosmetologist, however, if you have some of the hair you can experiment with, some of the dark brown color has to be lifted to get a light red. Often or always when lifting a dark color, one of the lightening stages is a red color, but it may not be the correct tone of red you want. From there you can then add the correct color. There are also dyes that do tend to lighten and implant color in one step, but I’m not familiar with those. You could also call and ask a beautician what the process is for it. I have bleached and dyed my hair extensions; you just have to stay away from the sewn portion, but it shouldn’t show since your hair will cover it, it will look like natural root color if the rest of your hair isn’t all one color.
